Graduate Energy Consultant

The main focus of this role is to provide energy management and compliance consultancy advice to our client base. The role will be either office based (Manchester/Blackpool) or remote.

POSITION IN ORGANISATION

Reports To: Head of Consultancy

DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
•   Carry out site surveys – developing comprehensive, cost-effective technical solutions that increase the operational       and energy efficiency (e.g. waste reduction, monitoring & targeting etc.).
•   Working on projects covering all aspects of industrial and retail/commercial energy usage, energy savings, utility         plant redevelopment and CO2 emission reduction. Identify carbon reduction projects; develop and present                   business cases.
•   Work in areas covering CHP, refrigeration, HVAC, lighting, boilers, compress air and control schemes.
•   Establishing an ongoing relationship with the customer, providing technical consultation on current systems and         future energy and operating efficiencies.
•   Manage compliance for clients involved in CCA & CRC. (training provided).
•   Satisfy a number of carbon reporting requirements; e.g. CRC, CCA, Carbon Disclosure, MCR etc.
•   Ensure compliance with energy and sustainability legislations and regulations.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
•   Liaise with other departments such as Data, Bureau and Trading to fulfill client requirements.
•   Promote LG Energy Group Limited’s corporate ethics of transparency.
•   Comply with LG Energy Group Limited’s Health and Safety Policies
•   Assist LG Energy Group Limited in maintaining its ISO 9100:2015 standard

PERSON SPECIFICATION

SKILLS AND ABILITIES
•   Good communications, interpersonal and organisational skills
•   Ability to present written information in a structured and balanced way appropriate to the needs of the reader.
•   Ability to be client facing
•   Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint & Other MS Office applications

EXPERIENCE
•  Preferably with at least 1 year experience (fresh graduates encouraged to apply) within the energy industry.
•  Some experience with basic energy management
•  Some experience in carrying out energy audits and writing reports
•  Some sales experience

KNOWLEDGE
•  A relevant engineering or equivalent qualification,
•  Experience in the UK energy/climate change instruments and policies would be an added advantage.
•  Must have reasonable understanding of energy management
•  Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint & Other MS Office applications
